chettri-maradonaArsenal may just end up signing Bordeaux’s striker Marouane Chamakh. The club’s manager was quoted saying that he is ready to let Chamakh leave the club as he made the player a promise that he will do so. But he is waiting for the right price from Arsenal to give his star striker. Hangeland of Fulham is also being pursued by Arsenal who want to fill the void left by Kolo Toure and Emmanuel Adebayor. Questions are being raised over Liverpool’s 20 million buy, Aquilani who is injured and out of action for two months. Even when he was playing for A.S.Roma , he has not played more than 21 matches in a season for the last three seasons and is highly injury prone. So should he get injured during the rest of the season, Liverpool will be in a compromising position. Meanwhile from the Eastlands, Mathew Upson is apparently the new target of Manchester City who are trying hard to sign a defender after losing hopes of signing Joleon Lescott. Scouts of Celtic were looking out for Sunil Chetri of India but the hopes of a trial seem to be bleak. Its good to know Indian players are getting into the circuit. Football in India will definitely get a boost after hearing this.
